Synopsis: Life In A…Metro explores the entwined lives of nine characters in Mumbai. The sprawling metropolis is synonymous with ambition: something Rahul possesses in ample amounts. Working in a call centre, he discovers a way to his promotion - the key to his uncle’s apartment. Colleagues and superiors use the apartment for sexual escapades and return the favor by offering Rahul job incentives and promotions.
Rahul is in love with his colleague Neha, who is having an affair with their married boss Ranjeet. Ranjeet’s marriage to Shikha is on the verge of collapse. Shikha finds solace in the company of actor Akash and their friendship threatens to blossom into an affair. Shikha’s younger sister Shruti searches for a suitable groom for herself through marriage portals and comes across Monty.
Amol (Dharmendra) left Mumbai and his girlfriend behind to pursue his dreams of fame and fortune. He returns forty years later in the hope of rekindling their relationship. The turmoil the relationships go through force these people to make life-altering decisions and face what the metro has destined for them.
