“I was at the Qatar Golf Open tournament earlier this year and had the opportunity to meet him. He was very humble and down-to-earth.

I couldn’t believe I was in the same room as this legend.

He’s a true hero and his life as an athlete is so inspiring.

I still remember watching him run in the Olympics and cheering for him. It was a special moment meeting Carl Lewis,” says Shilpa. 

The event also saw the likes of Anna Kournikova, Australian singer and actress Natalie Imbruglia and actor Omar Sharif.
