Debra Martin Chase (the producer of Princess Diaries) are teaming up with producer-writer Nely Galan (also the former president of entertainment at the Telemundo network) to film up The Dirty Girls, a novel by Alisa Valdez Rodriguez.
Dirty Girls itself is about six Latina women from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds navigating their careers and relationships and it’s going to be produced by Galan’s Galan Entertainment.
Valdes-Rodriguez penned the screenplay and is set to executive produce, while Galan and Martin Chase are seeking independent financing. Casting will begin in the next few weeks.
Me myself have no doubt in Debra, because I’ve already watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, a movie she produced.
