Introducing: The Mulvaneys

I love reading many kinds of books, and every time I read a book I always imagine what if the characters are alive in form of a movie.

So, when I picked up We Were the Mulvaneys by Joyce Carol Oates, I too imagined what if I can watch them in a movie. Last night Hallmark happened to show the movie and yes I love it as much as I love the book.

Starring Blythe Danner as the mother and Beau Bridges as the father, we first meet the Mulvaneys as a happy family with four teenage children. Tammy Blanchard and Beau Bridges really live out the characters Marianne and her father and they can bring the characters so real that I cried watching them.

The movie is almost the same as the movie, with some parts being edited (to minimize show time maybe?) but still worth watching.

Kungfu Panda: the new happening

My nieces and nephew currently are so obsessed with Kungfu Panda. They said the movie are so hilariously funny and enjoyable.

Last night my nephew even stayed up all night to browse Kungfu Panda’ site. The site is dedicated to the movie, and when I browsed the site..it is so entertaining indeed.

The story is too long, in Indonesia we call it “bertele-tele.”

In fact, I hate Gogol the main character here. I think he’s very unappreciative toward his parents by changing his name..just because he hates the sound of it. However, my heart goes to his parents, Ashima and Ashoke. I can’t put it into words, they seem so hopelessly innocent in the foreign country.

Sorry to say I feel like wanting to slap Gogol’s wife’s face for her infedility. Hate her!

However, this book is made it into movie. So, I hope the movie is better than the book.

Yup, that’s so true. I guess Tom Bailey doesn’t know that..if he knew back than he loves his best friend Claire..he wouldn’t have to race against other man to propose her.

Tom and Claire aren’t my friends, but they’re the main characters in Made of Honor. This Columbia Pictures production is directed by Paul Weiland and available in Jakarta theaters now

My favorite line from the last episode of Sex and the city’s last season is: “Please get our girl back.” (Miranda to Big).

Sometimes we are wondering what happens after happily ever after of every movies. The same goes with serial dramas as well, what happen after that?

Sex and the city’s fans..now the waitng is finally over, as now comes the movie version of Sex and the city’s sequel.

Memyself can’t wait to see this movie..but try to not put too much hope with the story line though. As it bounds to be cliche more to chic flick maybe. Who knows?:)

Go green with Oprah

Everything can inspire us in many ways, be it a movie, person, song even book. Recently, Oprah’s book club had an discussion on New Earth. Following the discussion, Oprah then inspired to remove meat and animal products from her life for a brief time. In short, she’s turning to be a vegetarian.

Though, Oprah herself said that she’s not sure how vegan will change her life, but is up for the challenge.

Asthma attacked Lindsay

Humans are prone to ilnesses, even if you are someone who is young, famous, talented and loveable (spell: celebrity).

Like what just happened to Lindsay Lohan on last Thursday night, when she had an asthma attack and made her couldn’t breath. Sadly, she’s been delaying going to the hospital because she was afraid the paparazzi would come into her and write about her illness.

I’m afraid there’s still no further news about Lindsay..whether she’s all well nor or still in the hospital.
